Keepmoat Stadium

Punter's Pick

Crystal Palace’s extra class should tell, and they are 7/10 with Bet365 to win in normal time. Michy Batshuayi should be pushing for a place in the starting XI, and is 9/2 to be the first goalscorer, or 11/8 to score anytime, both with Bet365.

Doncaster Rovers welcome Premier League Crystal Palace to the Keepmoat Stadium as they chase a historic first ever appearance in the FA Cup Quarter Finals.

Doncaster home form cause for optimism

Doncaster go into this cup tie off the back of a great home run. They are unbeaten in their last ten games in all competitions at the Keepmoat Stadium, and will feel they have a great chance of making their first ever appearance in the FA Cup Quarter Finals. Their recent form has also been robust – unbeaten in their last four league games, including back to back wins against Southend and Peterborough at home. Their strong run of form has pushed them into the playoff spots in League One, with a healthy four point cushion over Peterborough in seventh spot, with a game in hand too.

Palace league survival a priority?

Doncaster’s opponents on the other hand, come into this fixture on the back of a worrying sequence of results that has reignited their relegation worries. Currently sitting just three points outside the relegation places, Palace’s solitary win in their least five league come against lowly Fulham.

The FA Cup however, has been a welcome distraction for Roy Hodgson’s team and their long suffering fans. Their 2-0 victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur showed that the Eagles remain capable of causing problems for the leading sides, but consistency continues to elude them this season. The fans would no doubt love a chance for a return to Wembley, and with no midweek fixture on the horizon, Hodgson may be tempted to field his strongest lineup available.
Team News

Doncaster will be without winger and second top goalscorer this season Mallik Wilks, who is suspended after being booked in Rovers’ last two FA Cup matches. Doncaster will also have to do without cup-tied pair Tyler Smith and Rian McLean, but Andy Butler will be available after missing the fourth round victory over Oldham Athletic through suspension.

Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate is back in contention after missing the last two games with an ankle injury, but may have to settle for a place on the bench. The big news is

Palace winger Wilfried Zaha will not be available on Sunday. The talisman failed with his appeal against an additional one game being handed to him following his sending off against Southampton.

Palace to have too much quality?

Despite missing Wilfried Zaha through suspension, the Eagles should still fancy themselves disposing of lower league opposition, but it would be no surprise if they needed extra-time to do so. Doncaster will be dependent on top scorer John Marquis (21 goals so far this season), but Palace have yet to concede in the FA Cup so far, and if they can neutralise the forward they will be confident of progressing.
