Punter's Pick

For this game, we feel that Palace have a good chance of coming away with victory and Bet365 are offering a generous 5/2 for a Palace win. However if you wanted to hedge your bets a bit you can get Palace on a ‘Draw No Bet’ at 11/8 with the same bookmaker.

Leicester City will welcome Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace to The King Power Stadium in a fixture that has produced the goals in previous seasons. The teams have shared 19 goals in their last five fixtures and fans will be hoping for an entertaining clash between two teams boasting high class attacking talent.

Claude Puel will certainly be the manager that enters this game with the greater concerns, having seen his team go winless in their last six games in all competitions, registering five defeats and a solitary draw against Liverpool. The way the team has played at times this season and the quality they have in their ranks has left fans feeling that Leicester should have shown more this season. This expectation has kept the spotlight squarely on Puel throughout the season, with many feeling he has lost the dressing room and should leave.

Although Roy Hodgson doesn’t face the same level of scrutiny, there are question marks over whether a team boasting the likes of Wilfried Zaha, £32m man Christian Benteke, Andros Townsend and Michy Batshuayi should only be three points above the relegation zone. Palace like Leicester have at times produced the spectacular, such as their 3-2 victory away at champions Manchester City, victory over Wolves and a cup win over Spurs. But inconsistent performance and a winless run of eight games earlier in the season has typified Palace’s inability to string results together.

Going in to this game Palace will feel more confident out of the two sides having won five out of their last nine games in a run which has seen them progress to the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Leicester have not tasted victory since their New Year’s Day victory over Everton. In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, Palace scraped a 1-0 victory courtesy of a goal from Luka Milivojevic. Palace also won both encounters last season, thumping Leicester 5-0 at home and 3-0 away.

In team news, Leicester will be sweating on the fitness of Ben Chilwell and James Maddison, with Marc Albrighton and Daniel Amartey both long-term absentees. Nampalys Mendy however could return for The Foxes.

Palace will welcome back talisman Wilfried Zaha after he completed a two game suspension. Cheikhou Kouyate and James Tomkins have also recovered to further boost Palace’s ranks, but full backs Aaron wan-Bissaka and Martin Kelly have both been ruled out.
