Top four hopefuls Leicester City welcome relegation threatened Norwich City to the King Power Stadium in a game between two sides battling at opposite ends of the table. Can Leicester maintain their push for the Premier League title or will Norwich give their survival hopes a boost on Saturday afternoon

Leicester City come into this game having won an incredible eight Premier League games in a row. The Foxes swept aside Aston Villa in their last game comfortably running out 4-1 winners with Jamie Vardy continuing his rich vein of form by scoring for the eighth consecutive game. His brace against Villa takes his tally to 16 for the season as he looks to surpass his own record of scoring in 11 consecutive games. No one would bet against the former England international achieving that feat, especially with the creativity and support being provided from midfield by the likes of Ayoze Perez, Youri Tielemans and James Maddison. Brendan Rodgers will also be thrilled to add Kelechi Iheanacho to that mix as the youngster has shone in recent games and was the game changer when the Foxes managed to get the points against Everton late on. This will be a game they will fancy winning to keep the pressure up on Liverpool and will want to maintain their momentum before going into a real six-pointer against the champions Manchester City. Brendan Rodger’s side currently have a six point lead over City and a Leicester win would put them nine up and provide a huge boost to the squad that they can mix it with the best. But the priority for Rodgers will be to ensure his team don’t take their eyes off this one and let complacency creep in.

Norwich City are in real trouble at the bottom having lost their last two games to leave them four points from safety. A 2-0 win over Everton towards the end of November followed by a 2-2 draw against Arsenal seemed to signal a turnaround in fortune, but back to back defeats against Southampton and Sheffield United has burst that bubble quickly. The team has certainly been playing well in parts and there is no doubt that the players are trying for Daniel Farke, but a lack of quality and at times clinical finishing is impacting their ability to rise in the table. There is currently too much reliance on the likes of Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell to produce something special and the rest of the team will need to support them if they are to maintain their Premier League status.

In team news Leicester City have reported no fresh injury concerns as manager Brendan Rodgers has a strong squad to choose from. He may revert back to playing Vardy up front on his own with Maddison supporting as Ayoze Perez is likely to be preferred to Iheanacho to start with. Demarai Gray was an unused substitute last week as he recovered from illness and will be looking to play some part on Saturday.

Norwich could welcome back defender Grant Hanley as he returned to training and should be available for selection. Josip Drmic and Timm Klose remain out but have stepped up their rehabilitation.

These two last met a couple of years ago in the Premier League when Leicester won both ties. The game at Carrow Road saw Jamie Vardy on the scoresheet and the former England international will be looking to repeat the trick this time around.

Unsurprisingly, Leicester start this game as strong favourites and there is little value in backing an outright win. We feel the goals market represents the best opportunity and will be backing over 3.5 goals with Bet365 at 11/10. Leicester have started to dominate games and with their 4-1 win against Aston Villa last time out and record 9-0 drubbing of Southampton earlier in the season, shows that they don’t slow down once they get ahead. With a leaky Norwich defence, this is highly likely to come in. We will also be looking at over 2.5 cards currently priced at 8/13 as Norwich will struggle to contain the Foxes in midfield and up front, leading to mistakes that result in bookings.
