Bramall Lane

Punter's Pick

Sheffield United start this game as favourites and we are also backing them at 13/20 for a home win with Bet365. Norwich have not beaten the Blades in their last four encounters with the Sheffield side claiming a 2-1 away win earlier in the season. The games between the two have been combative affairs and backing over 3.5 cards at 5/6 also looks a good shout. This market materialised in the reverse fixture and both their games in the Championship last season with over 2.5 goals also generously priced at 11/10.

Sheffield United will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league as they host bottom club Norwich City at Bramall Lane. The home side have hit the 40 point mark and can now fully focus on pushing for a place in Europe while Norwich continue their fight to avoid the drop.

Sheffield United start this game in 8th place but can jump into 5th and a European place if they overcome Norwich at home. The Blades have this game in hand over Manchester United, Wolves and Tottenham and will sit just two points of Chelsea in fourth. If Manchester City’s European ban is maintained then 5th spot will be enough for a place in the Champions League and this will be the motivation for Chris Wilder and his team for the remainder of the season. Sheffield United fans will have been disappointed at dropping two points against Brighton last time out having gone ahead through Enda Stevens only for Neal Maupay to score an equaliser four minutes later. But the form of the team has been excellent having only lost one competitive game in their last nine outings and with games against teams in the bottom half coming up, the players and fans can dream of a top five finish come the end of the season.

Norwich City are in desperate need of a win so they can have some faith that they can turn their season around. They have had some success in recent weeks beating high-flying Leicester 1-0 before knocking Tottenham out of the FA Cup last time out. The team also put in a strong performance against Liverpool only to be undone by a late goal from Sadio Mane. The issue all season has been goals and getting enough support up to Teemu Pukki who has struggled after a promising start to life in the Premier League. But Norwich looked to attack Tottenham and this could be the formula for the remainder of the season as the team struggles to keep clean sheets but has enough of a threat if they take the game to the opposition. The Canaries also have plenty of games against teams in and around them and will feel that if they can pick up points in games like this then they could pull off a miracle escape.

Sheffield United have reported a fully fit squad for this one with Billy Sharp pushing for a starting berth having scored in their FA Cup tie against Reading. The likes of Fleck from midfield and Ollie McBurnie up front have been the main attacking threat in recent games but Lys Mousset and McGoldrick will also be staking their claims.

Norwich are also close to full fitness with Emiliano Buendia the one major doubt having picked up an injury against Tottenham in midweek. Teemu Pukki is likely to come back in and lead the line up front but Josip Drmic staked his claim after getting the equaliser against Spurs.
