Crystal Palace v Everton

Premier League: Sat, 27/04  Stadium: Selhurst Park

vs.

This game is a tricky one to pick for an outright winner. Both teams have shown their capabilities and their impressive victories over Manchester United and Arsenal respectively show how dangerous they can be on their day. It may be more prudent to go for the corners market as the game delivering over 10 is currently priced at 5/6 with Bet365. These two teams have produced a feast of corners in recent years, with 15 in the reverse fixture and over 13 in each game last season. Previous season have seen the count hit 19 so given the wide players of both teams, this is very likely to materialise on Saturday.

Crystal Palace face Everton in an exciting clash as both teams on their day have the potential to be spectacular and dire in equal measure. Palace have now confirmed their position in the country’s top league for next season with a resurgent Everton looking to make strides towards 7th place and claiming the ‘best of the rest’ spot.

Crystal Palace come in to this game on the back of another stunning away performance. Just as they did at the Etihad against Manchester City, Roy Hodgson’s men secured a 3-2 victory at the Emirates against Arsenal. Christian Benteke finally ended his goal drought which lasted a year only for Mesut Ozil to tie things up. However two goals in quick succession from the hugely impressive Wilfried Zaha and James McArthur ensured that Aubameyang’s late strike was merely a consolation. Fans will be wondering why their team canot produce this type of form at home, but with safety confirmed, the Selhurst Park crowd could be in for a treat in the closing weeks of the season.

Everton have won four out of their last five games including a 4-0 mauling of Manchester United last time out. Fans will be ecstatic at their teams form, especially against the big boys as their recent victories have been against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. But amongst those highs was the 3-2 loss against Newcastle in a game they were winning 2-0 and a 2-0 loss to lowly Fulham. Marco Silva will be hoping his team can get a level of consistency for next season which will propel them in to the top six and continue their upward curve under his leadership.

In team news, Everton will wait on the fitness of Richarlison, who was taken off early in the second half against Manchester United. The Brazilian scored an acrobatic goal and has been in fine form, therefore Toffees fans will be hoping he can return and add to his 13 goals this season. Crystal Palace don’t seem to have any fresh injury concerns, with Roy Hodgson likely to give some players an opportunity after securing their safety.

In recent head to heads, Everton have had the better of their opponents, with Palace last securing victory in 2014. The reverse fixture saw two late goals secure victory for the Toffees courtesy of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun. The fixture at Selhurst Park last season finished 2-2 in an exciting game, which saw both teams score within the first 10 minutes.
