Relegated Fulham take on resurgent Everton at Craven Cottage, with the visitors eyeing another three points in their push for a top seven finish.

Everton finally delivering?

After a fairly uninspiring campaign for large parts of the season, Marco Silva’s side are finally putting in some quality performances that justifies the talent within their squad. After a large summer transfer outlay, the Toffees have been languishing in mid-table for long stretches of the season, whilst early exits from the cup competitions only served to increase pressure on the manager and players.

However three straight wins, including the scalps of Champions League chasing Chelsea and Arsenal have changed the mood around Goodison Park, and some of the inferiority complex when it comes to playing and beating teams from the top six has evaporated with those victories.

Fulham with nothing but pride to play for

In contrast to their visitors, Fulham are coming to the end of a wretched campaign with little but pride left to play for. A season that started with much optimism after a £100m plus outlay on new signings has quickly descended into chaos, with Scott Parker their third manager of a campaign that is going to end with their return to the Championship.

Worse may still be to come for the Cottagers, with vultures already circling around a handful of players that have proved rare bright spots in a poor season. Aleksandar Mitrovic has heavily been linked with London rivals West Ham United and Crystal Palace amongst others, while young starlet Ryan Sessegnon is another inevitable leaver with only one year of his contract remaining.

Everton looking for league double over Fulham

The two sides clash earlier this season pretty much went as expected, with Everton running out comfortable 3-0 winners. Icelandic star Gylfi Sigurdsson found the net twice in the second half as the home team ran out away with the match despite being held in the first half. With the home side having the second worse home record in the Premier League so far this season, shipping on average two goals a game at Craven Cottage, the Toffees will strongly fancy their chances of achieving that double.

Another bad day at the office for Fulham ahead

With the visitors arriving in good spirits to Craven Cottage, it promises to be another potentially bad day for Scott Parker’s men as they look for just their fifth victory of the season. With their liberal defence always offering opponents plenty of encouragement, Everton should have enough quality to fashion a host of chances and make Fulham pay. It is not just at the back Fulham are struggling – with only 30 goals from 33 league games they do not pose enough of a threat upfront consistently to worry opposition sides. With Kurt Zouma becoming an increasingly towering figure at the back for Everton, they should have enough in defence to keep Mitrovic and co quiet to one goal or less as they ease to a likely victory.

Everton are strong favourites to win and should be backed at 3/4 with Bet365 to come away with all three points from Craven Cottage. Fulham may just be able to squeeze a goal, so Everton to win and both teams to score comes into play at 12/5, available again with Bet365.
